Columnist
I was asked by the editor of In the Moment magazine to write a series of four columns for its Creativity section over four issues, discussing topics as diverse as confidence, balance and courage. The brief was to share personal anecdotes and I really enjoyed drawing on my time as editor of Mollie Makes and Oh Comely to share some stories I hadn't put in writing yet. A few readers got in touch to tell me they'd found these pieces very relatable, which was affirming!

About me
I'm an editor and writer with almost 20 years' experience in creating and commissioning print and digital content, leading teams, and developing brands. My most recent editorship was Project Calm, a quarterly title about mindfulness through making. I also did a stint for Annie Sloan's The Colourist as a commissioning editor and features writer. Before that, I edited indie title, Oh Comely during a relaunch period, where I worked with a small team to concept, commission and deliver six magazines across the year. I spent three years editing craft magazine, Mollie Makes. It was also my pleasure to put together a bespoke publishing package for Lisa Comfort, a quarterly lifestyle magazine from Sew Over It's founder.
Editing a magazine now encompasses so much more than bringing the print product together, so I've got lots of experience with social media, presenting, public speaking and event planning, too.
Before editing, I spent seven years as a sub editor and production editor for history and food titles. I've also consulted on a number of books and provide copywriting services for companies such as Etsy and Prezola.
