Columnist
I was asked by the editor of In the Moment magazine to write a series of four columns for its Creativity section over four issues, discussing topics as diverse as confidence, balance and courage. The brief was to share personal anecdotes and I really enjoyed drawing on my time as editor of Mollie Makes and Oh Comely to share some stories I hadn't put in writing yet. A few readers got in touch to tell me they'd found these pieces very relatable, which was affirming!
Interiors writing
One of my passions is writing about people's homes and seeing how people live, the treasures they surround themselves with and the stories behind them. I worked for interiors website and app, Houzz as an editor and writer, and I regularly contribute home tours to HomeStyle and Your Home (and manage their Christmas editions each year). My interiors pieces have also featured in The Colourist, Mollie Makes and Ideal Home.
I'm comfortable sourcing and interviewing interesting homeowners and renters, managing and styling photo shoots where needed and pulling accompanying shopping or craftjng pages together.
