I was asked by the editor of In the Moment magazine to write a series of four columns for its Creativity section over four issues, discussing topics as diverse as confidence, balance and courage. The brief was to share personal anecdotes and I really enjoyed drawing on my time as editor of Mollie Makes and Oh Comely to share some stories I hadn't put in writing yet. A few readers got in touch to tell me they'd found these pieces very relatable, which was affirming!
Bespoke publishing – Lisa Comfort magazine
I was approached to edit and manage a new lifestyle magazine for sewing star, Lisa Comfort. Lisa was looking for a beautiful print product to promote her lifestyle brand and the sewing patterns for her successful business, Sew Over It. We produced six magazines altogether, full of exclusive patterns, craft DIYs, city guides, home tours and interviews highlighting inspiring women in creative industries. I planned, commissioned and proof-read each issue, oversaw shoots and wrote features.
