I was asked by the editor of In the Moment magazine to write a series of four columns for its Creativity section over four issues, discussing topics as diverse as confidence, balance and courage. The brief was to share personal anecdotes and I really enjoyed drawing on my time as editor of Mollie Makes and Oh Comely to share some stories I hadn't put in writing yet. A few readers got in touch to tell me they'd found these pieces very relatable, which was affirming!
Editor – Oh Comely
Oh Comely was an independent, creative lifestyle magazine full of intelligent writing and beautiful imagery. I edited Oh Comely for a year after founding editors, Liz, Rosanna and Des left, working with the same contributors that made it the much-loved, quirky title it was, and introducing a raft of new writing talent as well as up-and-coming illustrators and photographers. I oversaw a redesign and restructure, managing the entirely freelance, part-time team. Covering art, fashion, film, music, design, sensitive first person pieces and lots of creative writing, it combined all my favourite topics and was a joy to pull together.
